Priory Mill Farm, located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, is situated just ten minutes’ walk from the Georgian town of Brecon. It dates back beyond the sixteenth century and still strongly evokes a true sense of past times, with its cobbled courtyard between the miller’s house and the Grade II* corn mill, behind which runs the River Honddu, a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest.’
Noel and Susie Gaskell moved to Priory Mill in 2001 intent on preserving and restoring the collection of traditional stone buildings in their riverside setting.
To enable this costly and time-consuming process to continue, a small, low-impact Campsite has been established, plus the space above the stables, formerly accommodating mill workers, now provides a cosy and comfortable retreat for two Holiday Cottage.
Whether camping or staying at the self-catering holiday cottage, Priory Mill is perfectly located for all sorts of local festivals, such as the Brecon Jazz Festival, the Green Man Festival at Glanusk, or the world-famous Hay Festival.
