Borgarfjörður eystri Campsite
Open from 15th of may to 15th of October and there is no need for reservation
Rates:
Adults: 1200.- kr. per night.
Children: Free for 14 years old and younger.
Electricity for caravans and campers: 1000.- kr. per night.
Lodging tax: 333.- kr. per night.
Showers: 400.- kr. for 4 minutes.
Washing machine: 500.- kr. per use.
There are two service houses at the campsite. In one house you can find toilets, wheelchair accessible toilet and showers. In the other house you have a dining room with tables and benches, electrical outlets for small devices and cooking facilities. Also there is a washing machine and outside are clothes lines to use in good weather.
At the campsite is a waste disposal for caravans and campers, garbage bins and a bin for bottles and cans. A recycling center is near the campsite and it is open from 08:00 - 16:30.
The campsite is placed at the foot of a rocky hill which is the home of the elves. There are paths that go a round it and to the top where there is a panoramic viewpoint. This rocky hill is called Álfaborg and is a reserved area. If you believe in elves this is an interesting place to visit, the elves don't mind guests as long as they respect their home, the rocks.
