Cellars Clough Fishery Rules

1) No fishing pegs can be reserved, no one can remove you from your peg.
2) All anglers will be courteous and polite to the public in so promote the good name of the club and angling
3) A maximum of only two rods for day tickets and 3 rods for 24hrs are allowed to be fished at any one time. You must have EA rod licenses for three rods (two)
4) All hooks must be barbless or micro barbs only.
5) When carp or pike angling the minimum of 12lb line is to be used
6) Wire pike traces must be a minimum length of 18 inches, semi barbless trebles only.
7) No smaller than 10 inch forceps to be used.
8) No carp or pike to be kept in keepnets or carp sacks.
9) All carp or pike must be returned to the water as soon as possible.
10) No fixed leads in any form to be used.
11) Audible bite alarms must be set to low settings at all times to minimise distraction to other anglers.
12) No boats or dinghys to be used, only remote controlled bait boats.
13) When carp angling hook lengths of a higher rating than the main line must be used. NO MAIN LINE SHALL BE FISHED THROUGH TO HOOK.
14) When carp – pike angling ALL FISH MUST BE UNHOOKED ON A UNHOOKING MAT.
15) Anglers shall use equipment suited to their particular quarry ie:-
a) Landing nets of size suited to their quarry (36 inch plus carp – pike )
b) Unhooking mats.
c) Forceps for unhooking pike.
d) Weigh slings/returning slings for carp – pike
e) Klin-ik or bonjella for treating wounds when carp + pike fishing.
16) Anglers must fish from designated pegs only.
17) Under sixteen year olds must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
18) No fish to be taken away from waterside
19) No fish to be introduced to the water
20) No wilful damage shall be caused to either the water, wildlife or adjoining property.
21) All anglers are requested to respect our landlords property at all times so preventing any action which might lose us fishing rights, especially hooliganism, drunkenness, leaving of litter.
22) When fishing on banks with anglers either side, you must not fish outside your swim ie:- Straight ahead only not to either side, if you want to fish further down move. RESPECT YOUR FELLOW ANGLERS.
23) Dogs are allowed with bailifs permission on the bank whilst fishing, all dog fouling MUST be picked up and must stay with owners at all times.
24) No over baiting with bait boats. And a complete ban on tinned or rolls of cat and dog food.
25) STRICTLY NO LINE / HOOKS / LEADS ETC WHICH MAY INTERFERE WITH WILDLIFE MUST BE LEFT ON THE BANKS. ALL LITTER MUST BE TAKEN AWAY WITH YOU, FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A BAN.
26) NO SPINNING OR PLUGS TO BE USED FOR PIKE FISHING
27) Anyone found to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs whilst fishing will receive a life time ban.
28) All bivvies must be green or black.
29) No angler must not go more than 1 peg away from their rods, if so, you must take your rods out of the water, failure to do so, you may be asked to leave.
