The Lakes
Here at Clavering Lakes & Lodge there are three lakes in total, all of which are well stocked throughout the year providing anglers with not only excellent sport but also an extremely relaxing environment to enjoy their fishing.
Although all ages are welcome, children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult and for be at least 15 years old for night fishing.
All lakes are within easy reach from the car parks.
Silver Fish Lake
Set within 1.5 acres, the Silverfish Lake hosts 16 swims and can produce on average 20lbs to 30lbs bags on a short session. It contains a large head of bream up to 6lbs, as well as roach up to 2lbs, perch up to 4lbs, brown goldfish, crucian carp and beautiful tench.
Match Lake
The Match Lake at Clavering Lakes and Lodge is heavily stocked with all species of coarse fish, set within 2 acres. Good bags of fish can be caught on all methods. Record weight – 228lb. The Match Lake is very evenly pegged, totally 17 swims and fishes very well all the way round. All matches and numbers for breakfast must be confirmed by phone one week before the competition.
Specimen Carp Lake
Our specimen carp lake is extremely well stocked with many large fish – of which some are between 30lbs and 40lbs. There is a good number between 20lbs and 30lbs, backed up with a large number between 10lbs and 20lbs. The lake also contains specimen sized roach up to nearly 3lbs and with perch up to 5lbs, providing a good day of sport all set within 3.5 acres divided over 40 swims. You’ll find the quiet, relaxed surroundings provides the perfect location for carp enthusiasts.
