At Hatchlands, we want our anglers, whether they be coarse or game, to enjoy consistent levels of good sport where they can pit their tackle against hard fighting fish in excellent condition. To this end we maintain our waters in as natural a state as possible. This creates an environment which is rich in insect life, helping any fish stocked to quickly adapt to their new feeding grounds.
While all of our coarse fish must be returned as gently as possible, which is why we insist on unhooking mats and barbless hooks, we do not allow catch and release trout fishing.
