Located on a small bluff overlooking the Alagnak River, Katmai Lodge has over five million salmon passing right in front of the lodge each year. The enormous runs of salmon help create some of the finest Rainbow trout and Arctic Grayling fishing in the state of Alaska, if not the world. We stand out from other fine lodges in Alaska as you will not have to fly here or there to experience different runs of salmon or find trophy Rainbow trout. However, if you seek variety in fishing or scenery, our private float plane can fly you out to remote tributaries to sight fish trophy trout and char, or into Katmai National Park for bear viewing at world famous Brooks Falls.
