Set on 5 acres of wonderful countryside on the shore of Lough Ree East and conveniently located 2 miles from Athlone town and its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, visitors may enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this family-run park with its own jetty and boat-slip.
Ideal for angling, boating, wind-surfing, sailing and especially canoeing, this park is bordered by a 500 meter stretch of the Breensford trout river. It is a convenient base for visiting the famous monastic settlement of Clonmacnoise, scenic walks, daily cruises on the River Shannon, golfing, horse riding and sailing locally.
On site, there is a recreation room with pool table, darts board and open fire, a campers kitchen and a pub located beside the park. Bus groups and clubs catered for. Disable toilet and shower facilities available and as of recently, newly refurbished ladies toilets and shower block. Free Wi-Fi throughout the park. Please note we do not accept credit cards.
