Summerlands Tackle came into being in 1985 and was originally situated in Golf Links Road, Westward Ho! Owned and managed by Nick and Louise Laws It soon gained a reputation for selling quality fishing tackle, the business was based on offering the local and visiting customers the best advice available.
In the early years strong links were tied with the very finest fishing tackle companies from Abu through to Zziplex, Summerlands soon became the place to see the very latest tackle.
In 1997 Summerlands moved to its present large sight (we had to buy a bank and two shops to squeeze our stock into), and Louise's and Nicks dream to create the ultimate Anglers Aladdin's Cave slowly came into being.
In the 1990s Summerlands took a big step forward when Heather and Simon (daughter and son-in-law) joined the team bringing new enthusiasm, drive and specialist tackle knowledge with them. The shop still reverberates to the staff’s weird taste in music and the aroma of the world's finest coffees.
