The best thing after fishing
Valhalla Lodge Alaska

Valhalla Lodge Alaska

Valhalla Lodge has been around a long time and has an unprecedented track record for aviation safety. Started by Ward Gay in the 1950s, the lodge has never left the family. Owner Kirk Gay is one of the best in the business. Guiding and flying for over 40 years. Our Guest's safety is our primary goal, with their enjoyment and fishing success a VERY close second.
Our Lodge is geared towards smaller groups of 4-8 guests per week. We here at Valhalla are like a family, our crew and guides included. Our guests are welcomed as family members and often times stay in contact long after their trip has ended. Our dinner style is Family style and usually the guides and crew eat with the guests, discussing the days events, laughing and reminiscing on the day's adventures, while also planning for the days to come. We want your trip here to be one of legend, as our name "Valhalla" may suggest. We do not have a set fishing program and we are often very flexible, giving you the opportunity of targeting the species of your choice (weather, safety, and seasonal timing permitted of course). Most often your group will be the only guests here at the time of your stay, giving you our undivided attention and focus for providing the fishing trip of a Lifetime!
Another great perk of Valhalla is the local waters fishing. As you may know, the weather in Alaska can be uncooperative at times, making it difficult or dangerous to fly out and fish. While other lodges are at home playing cards waiting for the weather to lift... we are out in one of our jet boats fishing. We have access to Lake Clark, Six Mile Lake, the Newhalen River and the Tazimina River right here within 10 minutes of the Lodge!

Amenities are second to none. We have running hot/cold water, personal showers in each room, 24 hr. dedicated power, fast wireless internet, satellite TV in the lounge, a pool table, dart room, and wet bar. Come to remote Alaska without having to rough it, Wife APPROVED!
