Antoni regularly shows off his breathtaking catches. His Fishsurfing profile features impressive predatory fish specimens, and his greatest passion has also become his profession. We decided to talk to him about the journey that led him to become a professional fishing guide.

The beginnings by the water

Antoni's fishing journey began in childhood, much like that of many passionate anglers. The real breakthrough came a few years ago when he discovered a belly boat. From that moment on, fishing began to play an increasingly important role in his life.

Six years ago, he also started using LiveScope Panoptix technology, which allowed him to see fishing from an entirely new perspective. Since then, he has spent countless hours on the water, analyzing fish behavior and consciously developing his skills.

A passion for predatory fish

Antoni's greatest passion has become targeting predatory fish, especially catfish. In his pursuit of regularly encountering trophy-sized specimens, he has travelled across much of Poland and covered thousands of kilometers.

Although he now devotes most of his time to predatory species, over the years he has also fished for carp and various non-predatory fish. This broad experience has given him a deep understanding of fish behavior and the unique characteristics of different fisheries.

How to become a fishing guide?

Today, Antoni works as a professional fishing guide. As he emphasizes, there is no single path to this profession. The key lies in the experience gained on the water, continuous learning and hundreds of hours spent observing fish behaviour and exploring new fisheries.

He personally spends around 200–250 days a year on the water. These often involve long fishing sessions and, quite frequently, entire nights dedicated to fishing. For him, fishing is not only a profession but, above all, a true passion.

What brings him the greatest satisfaction is seeing the joy of the people who fish with him - especially when someone catches the fish of a lifetime or fulfills a dream they have waited years to achieve.

Favorite fishing methods

Antoni's favorite techniques are undoubtedly traditional spinning and modern fishing using LiveScope technology.

Actively searching for fish, observing their behavior in real time and presenting the lure in the right way gives him the greatest satisfaction.

He values spinning for its dynamic nature. Rather than waiting for fish to come to him, he prefers to seek them out, analyze the water and adapt his tactics to the current conditions. It is this element of exploration and constant interaction with the fish that makes spinning his preferred method of angling.

Sweden – an angler's paradise

When asked about fishing in Sweden, Antoni does not hesitate to describe the country as a true paradise for anglers.

Its countless lakes, stunning natural scenery and abundant fish populations make it an exceptional fishing destination. The local pike are particularly impressive, often reaching truly remarkable sizes.

A trip to Sweden is worthwhile not only for the fishing itself but also for its unique atmosphere, tranquillity and close connection with nature. It is a place where you can truly relax while experiencing unforgettable moments on the water.

Antoni's Personal Best Catches

Over the years, Antoni has landed many memorable fish, each with its own story and associated with unforgettable emotions. Some of these catches will remain in his memory for a lifetime.

Personal Bests:

  • Catfish – 215 cm
  • Pike – 121 cm
  • Zander – 91 cm
  • Perch – 49.5 cm
  • Carp – 22.9 kg
  • Baltic salmon – 92 cm

Although he has a special affection for the 215 cm catfish, each of these personal bests is the result of hundreds of hours spent on the water, gaining experience and continuously refining his skills.

For Antoni, records are more than just numbers. Their true value lies in the memories, emotions, and moments spent by the water - moments that stay with you for a lifetime.
