Angelika has been fishing for 11 years and for the past five she has focused exclusively on carp fishing. As she herself emphasizes, carp fishing is much more than just a hobby for her - it is a huge part of her life and a passion that allows her to escape from everyday life and experience unforgettable emotions.
Every fishing session is an opportunity for her to gain new experience and develop an even better understanding of fish behaviour. One of the most important skills is being able to “read the water” - carefully observing it and drawing conclusions about the areas where carp are likely to be feeding. This time, the right tactics paid off with a beautiful new Personal Best.
New PB – 24,1 kg
Angelika’s previous Personal Best was 22.925 kg, caught during a competition in August 2025. Her new PB came during her latest session at Czarna Sędziszowska Fishery, where she managed to land a carp weighing an impressive 24.100 kg.
Angelika visits this fishery several times a year and has grown very fond of it. As she admits herself, the atmosphere of this place is truly unique and keeps bringing her back.
During the session, Angelika positioned her rigs at depths of between 2.4 and 5 metres, focusing on areas where hard and soft bottom met. This approach has worked particularly well for her in the past and once again proved to be the right choice.
Squid, Bergamot & Spicy Notes
This time, Angelika chose a single 24 mm dumbbell in the Squid & Bergamot flavour - Fusion Legend by Eko Baits. The addition of spicy notes gives the bait a distinctive and intense profile. She used a Slip D-Rig made with braided hooklink material and a One More Cast Lock Hook.
She mainly fed the spot with 11 mm Aller Aqua pellets and Fusion Legend boilies, boosted with Amino CSL in the same flavour.
From a quiet night to a new PB
It was a warm, windless day with barely a ripple on the water. By the afternoon, there were already clear signs of fish activity around the swim. Before darkness set in, Angelika had landed several smaller carp.
The highlight of the session came at around 2 a.m.
Angelika was woken by the sound of the bite alarm. The run was calm, steady and slow. Even then, she suspected that a bigger fish could be on the other end of the line. As soon as she picked up the rod, she was almost certain her instincts were right.
The fight was surprisingly calm, but the immense weight of the fish kept the excitement high. The moment the carp slipped into the landing net, Angelika knew that she had broken her previous personal best.
